Pelícano Popoyo is located on Nicaragua’s southern Pacific coast, near Playa Popoyo — a region known for its surf, open landscapes, and slower pace of life.

This part of the country feels different. The beaches are wide, the roads are unpaved, and nature still sets the rhythm. It’s a place for those who prefer space over crowds and sunsets over city lights.

We are positioned close enough to the ocean for easy access, yet slightly removed to preserve privacy and calm.

Access is via Managua International Airport (MGA), followed by a scenic drive south along the coast. Road conditions include unpaved sections typical of the region.

Popoyo offers surf breaks for different levels, nearby nature reserves, and access to regional destinations such as San Juan del Sur and Granada.
